LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Papa John's has suspended all corporate operations in Rusia in response to the country's invasion of Ukraine.

The company announced the move on Wednesday. The Louisville-based pizza chain is ceasing all operational, marketing and business support to the Russia market.
All restaurants in Russia are owned by independent franchisees, the company said in a press release.
Papa John's International doesn't own or operate any restaurants in Russia, and the company said it's not currently receiving any royalties from franchised Russian stores.
"Papa John’s stands with much of the globe in condemning aggression and violence," the company said. "We hope for a peaceful resolution to the crisis in Ukraine, which today is hurting millions of innocent people, who are losing their homes, communities and people they love."
The company also said it's working to support refugees by donating money and food through a partnership with World Central Kitchen.
