KENTUCKY — Amazon announced this week that hourly employees can soon take advantage of free tuition at eight colleges across the Commonwealth.


What You Need To Know

  • Amazon workers can earn free tuition at an array of Kentucky colleges

  • The Career Choice program lets hourly employees pursue associate, bachelor's and other degrees and certifications

  • UK, UofL and several local community colleges are included in the program

The company announced in a news release that partnerships with several colleges and universities to provide full-ride tuition to employees. The eligible universities are:

  • University of Kentucky
  • University of Louisville
  • Thomas Moore University
  • Bluegrass Community & Technical College
  • Elizabethtown Community & Technical College
  • Gateway Community & Technical College
  • Jefferson Community & Technical College
  • Campbellsville University

The partnerships are part of an expansion of Amazon's Career Choice program, where hourly employees can pursue associate and bachelor's degrees, GEDs and ESL proficiency certifications. You can learn more about the program here.

Career Choice is available to Amazon hourly employees after working at least 90 days with the company.
