Crews are out fixing what's left standing in the heart of the city one of them is local Jason Cherry.

“I've been doing [roofing] for 15 plus years. I've been in business here in Bowling Green for 10 plus years and with this storm that came through the other day this is one of the biggest storms I've possibly ever seen,” said Cherry, owner of Cherry Roofing said.

Cherry has spent 20 years in the roofing business and can't imagine doing anything else.

“It's more or less just in my blood but I love helping people, born to do it, love doing it, it's all I know how to do," Cherry said.

Especially now, in a time of need for hundreds of families who are displaced.

“It was devastating. I'm just glad my family was OK through it. A lot of families here that need help, we're just here to help,” Cherry said.

“Being raised here we will build back better and we love you Bowling Green, we'll be strong,” Cherry said.

Cherry isn't sure how many houses and businesses he plans to repair, but said it could be thousands after seeing the damage himself.
