After collecting pinball machines for the past few years, Jim Bruso decided to bring some fun to the Commonwealth.

“We call this Pinball Alley. We have about 50 machines right here," Bruso said. "Some of our better machines, brand-new Mandalorian just came out less than a month ago."

Originally from Albany, New York, Bruso wanted to bring some big-city aspects to small town Kentucky, eventually hoping to encourage more tourism in the area.

“And we need more things in our smaller town. I mean, if you want to go somewhere. You've got to drive to Lexington, you got to drive in Knoxville, so why can't we have something here,” Bruso said.

As an interactive museum, the Pinball Museum of Corbin encourages people to take time to learn about the history but also play on the different machines. And while Bruso has you in Corbin playing some games, you can also check out his ice cream shop, Sweeties.

“We have these outrageous shakes and we have these, you know, things that you would get in Gatlinburg or get in Florida or get in Las Vegas, and it's done really well so I was like well let's bring it to the next level and have some fun,” Bruso said.

Bringing the community together with ice cream and pinball, Bruso hopes his big-city ideas will encourage others to visit the small town he now calls home.
