LOUISVILLE, Ky. — On Friday, local activist groups came together at Jefferson Square Park for the Social Justice Fair at Injustice Square.

Friday marked one year since protests over the police killing of Breonna Taylor started in Louisville. A Social Justice Fair is planned at he park Friday and Saturday along with the Love All and Serve All in Unity Positive Hip Hop Festival set to take place Saturday at Chefspace.

The Social Justice Fair is organized by the Kentucky Alliance Against Racist and Political Repression, a nonprofit heavily involved in last year’s protest.

“Even throughout the aggressive arrest, the attacks on protesters, we still have been able to create a family of community that we can continue to enrich and to give back to,” said Shameka Parrish-Wright, the co-chair of the Kentucky Alliance Against Racist and Political Repression.

Events that took place Friday included yoga, brunch and a series of speakers. Additional presentations will be held at Jefferson Square Park on Saturday before the hip hop show at Chefspace, at 1812 W. Muhammad Ali Blvd.
