OHIO — Kroger changed its mask policy Wednesday, stating fully vaccinated employees and customers will no longer be required to wear masks starting May 20 in stores, distribution centers, plants and offices.
Earlier this week, the company said it would continue to require them for all customers and employees.
Non-vaccinated associates will still be required to wear a mask, and non-vaccinated customers are encouraged to continue to wear a mask, according to the press release.
"We will continue to respect the choice of individuals who prefer to continue to wear a mask," the company wrote.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention issued guidance last week, saying fully vaccinated Americans can go maskless in most circumstances. For a list of retailers and their mask mandates, click here.
