  • Dubick enjoys giving back to the community through volunteering

  • Any Kentuckian aged 18 and older can get a shot at the vaccine clinic

For the past two months, Dubick has been volunteering at the health department with their weekly vaccination clinic, talking to people as they come in and comforting them through the process.

“It’s just a great opportunity to vaccinate people, I mean Kentucky seems like they're way ahead of the game, and national vaccinations have opened up Lexington to everybody. And I'm just happy to be a part of this and feel really blessed to be able to do this,” Dubick said.

Receiving the vaccine was a relief for himself and his wife. Dubick said he hopes to spread some of that relief to Kentuckians as they walk into the clinic and into his chair to receive the vaccine.

“I feel great when my wife and I both got our last one in January we just felt such a sense of relief. And the folks that come in here are so appreciative of being able to do this and of all the folks that are helping. It's just a great environment between the folks coming in for vaccinations and the people who are working here. It's just such a pleasant place to be,” Dubick said.

The Lexington Fayette County Health Department will have its next vaccination clinic next Wednesday, March 31 from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
