KENTUCKY — If you're in the job market, Kroger and JayC Food Stores are hosting hiring events this month with over 500 open positions available.

The hiring events will take place across Kentucky, southern Indiana, and southern Illinois Oct. 17, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. local time.

Erin Grant, Kroger corporate affairs manager for the Louisville Division, said positions are open in every department, including front end, deli, meat, pickup, and grocery.

Those interested can apply online, then visit a store during the hiring event.

A press release from the company said it offers competitive pay, full-time positions at most stores, and pay increases at six and 12 months. It also said the company offers yearly tuition reimbursement up to $3,500 after six months of service, extra hourly pay for third shift positions, and discount on groceries.
