While surrounding Paul, his wife Kelley and the rest of their group, the protesters were shouting "No Justice No Peace" and "Say Her Name." A video posted on social media shows the incident where one protester appears to briefly clash with an officer, pushing him and his bike backward, sending the officer into Paul’s shoulder.

Officers called for demonstrators to move backward and get on the sidewalk.

Paul says he and his group feared for their lives and could have been seriously injured if police were not there to protect him.

Paul sat down for a one-on-one interview with Spectrum News 1's Michon Lindstrom to discuss the events of the night, the status of Breonna Taylor's investigation, his bill to ban no-knock warrants, and his measure called the SCHOOLS Act.
