PARIS, Ky. — A laser printing company in Bourbon County is now making desk shields to help prepare for students to return to in-person classes.
Chuck Frysinger, the owner of CWF Products, typically spends his days making signs at his company, but recently with the pandemic he has had to switch his production to creating desk shields for schools.
“That's just who we've been forever, you know, and try to build things and do things we want to stay busy. I don't think we were put here to just sit around and be idle.” Frysinger said.
CWF Products has been a part of the community for many years, that's why Frysinger decided to give back to the students in this way. At the start of the pandemic, the company started making face shields for front line workers, and with school around the corner, he changed gears to help the schools.
The company says it takes about 8 minutes to cut the pieces and 10 minutes to assemble them. With many orders coming in from different schools in surrounding states, Frysinger has had to work double-time to keep up with the demand.
“We're gonna just have to ramp up and probably bring some more people in and start working on a longer period of time. Something that I got to do to get more off the machines and we gotta get through this first wave.” Frysinger said.
Frysinger hopes to continue partnering up with schools around the state and has made some changes to the original blueprints to make sure they have enough supplies to continue making them.
