LOUISVILLE, Ky. —  Many Kentucky businesses served 4th of July crowds last weekend. While most of the bars and restaurants inspected followed the state's Healthy at Work guidelines, not all did.

The Lousiville Metro Department of Public Health and Wellness inspected 86 establishments over the holiday weekend. 11 of those were issued corrective orders. Below is the department's information on the corrective orders.

  • Flanagan's Ale House - no staff wearing masks while within 6' of coworkers and customers
  • La Bodeguita Mima - multiple staff and management not wearing a mask, allowing customers to congregate at the bar, outdoor tables were too close and no kitchen staff wearing masks and within 6' of others
  • Rye - No kitchen staff wearing masks and within 6' of others
  • Kentucky Kingdom - allowing customers to congregate and not encouraging 6' distancing
  • El Comel Dixie Highway - staff not wearing masks and no health checks on staff
  • Frankfort Avenue Beer Depot - allowing customers to congregate and not encouraging 6' distancing

Since the outbreak began, the department has investigated 3,600 complaints. Anytime someone is at a business and are concerned about safety protocol, they can file a complaint on the Metro 311 app.

The department added that stopping the spread of COVID-19 requires everyone to work together. Businesses can do their part by adhering to the Healthy at Work guidelines. Customers can do their part by wearing masks, not gathering in large groups, practicing social distancing, and maintaining good hand hygiene.
