LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Interim Louisville Police Chief Robert Schroeder officially fired Brett Hankison from the force Tuesday. Hankison is one of the officers involved in the shooting death of Breonna Taylor.
Taylor was killed in her home on March 13 when Hankison and two other officers executed a no-knock warrant.
The official termination letter, like the pre-termination letter of June 19, says LMPD is firing Hankison for violating two Standard Operating Procedures and 10 counts of Use of Deadly force during the incident that left Taylor dead.
The FBI and Attorney General Daniel Cameron are also investigating the death of Taylor.
