NEWPORT, Ky. — Newport Aquarium is set to begin its phased reopening tomorrow June 22, starting with three appreciation days for annual passholders. Beginning June 25, all guests will be welcomed.

What You Need To Know

  • Newport Aquarium begins reopening tomorrow

  • Will reopen to annual passholders for first three days

  • Tickets can be purchased online

  • Aquarium to follow health and safety guidelines

Annual passholders can reserve their tickets online for a specific date and time.

Familiar guidelines will be in place at the aquarium, including limited capacity, face masks for employees and guests aged three and up and temperature screenings before entering. Social distancing reminders, marked barriers and physically distanced queues will be placed throughout the aquarium. As well, areas where social distancing isn't possible will be temporarily closed.

The aquarium is also implementing a number of sanitization efforts. Hand sanitizer will be available at all food and beverage locations, and common areas will be sanitized after every use.

Since March 16, the attraction has been closed to the public. While staff have continued to care for the animals and aquatic life, this will be the first time the aquarium welcomes the public in over three months.
