LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Kentucky’s Primary Election will take place on Tuesday, June 23, less than two weeks.

The original date for the Primary was May 19, however, due to the coronavirus pandemic, Governor Andy Beshear (D) announced that the Election would be postponed until June 23.

This year’s Election is unique in that all registered voters will be eligible to vote by mail-in absentee ballot. There will also be in-person absentee voting at the Jefferson County Clerk’s Office Election Center by appointment and in-person voting on Election Day at the Kentucky Exposition Center.

In-person voting begins at the Kentucky Exposition Center from June 15 through June 23. The hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., and on Election Day, the hours will be from 6:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.

The Kentucky Exposition Center located at 937 Phillips Lane will serve as Jefferson County’s sole in-person voting location on Election Day. There is no parking charge. The polling location will look a little different as a result of coronavirus-related changes. Voters will be required to wear masks and social distance.
