LEXINGTON, Ky. — New data from the federal government shows more than 20 million people lost their jobs in April 2020 as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. 

Here in the Commonwealth, the Economic Policy Institute reports more than 670,000 Kentuckians have filed for unemployment since early March.

The Salvation Army of Lexington spoke with Spectrum News 1 to share how the non-profit agency is stepping up to help people living in Central Kenucky navigate an unfamiliar employment system.
