LEXINGTON, Ky.— UK Healthcare is now offering drive-thru testing for the coronavirus for its frontline employees and patient care providers.

Employees are being asked to fill out a survey and provide information about their symptoms. From there the information will be reviewed by a clinical team that will identify employees for the drive-thru testing.

As of right now, they are testing about 100 employees per day. However, the number of available appointments will depend on the test supplies available.

“Our goal is to be able to keep our people healthy so that they can help us take care of our community.” UK Executive Vice President Of Health Affairs, Dr. Mark Newman said.

The drive-thru testing is by appointment only and is held at UK Healthcare Turfland. According to the press release, UK Healthcare hopes to open it up to broader groups at UK Healthcare and eventually to the public if more test supplies become available.
