WINCHESTER, Ky— Miss Nancy’s 2nd Family Foundation is an organization to help 14-year-old Kamble Metz keep her mother's memory alive.

Nancy Metz was a preschool teacher at Clark County who treated her students like her own, calling them her second family. She was known for making sure her students could be as successful as possible, whether that meant giving encouragement or helping provide for basic needs. On June 1st 2019, Nancy passed away after a two-year battle with cancer.

"She loved working there, she always called them her second family and that’s why the kids came up with the name Miss Nancy's Second Family Foundation." Nancy's Husband, JD Metz said.

In her honor, the family continues the work of Nancy by providing for the needs of her students through this foundation.

"It’s like a part of my mom is still living on, and I can help others, and leave a good legacy on her name." Nancy's daughter, Metz said.

If you would like to donate or help the foundation, you can find more information on their Facebook page.
