LOUISVILLE, Ky. - For the 32nd year in a row, people can bring their pets out to get pictures with Santa to raise money for local animal rescue groups.

The annual Picture Your Pets with Santa event over the first two weekends in December gives people the chance to get holiday pet pictures. There are event options to get those pictures on mugs, bags and other merchandise. You can find the events at all 24 Feeders Supply stores across Kentucky and Southern Indiana.

It is expected to attract over 5,000 families to raise over $100,000 for 13 local animal charities listed below:

  • Kentucky Humane Society
  • Floyd County Animal Rescue League
  • Lexington Humane Society
  • Franklin County Humane Society
  • Humane Society of Oldham County
  • J.B. Ogle Animal Shelter
  • Saving Sunny
  • Shamrock Pet Foundation
  • Barktown Animal Rescue
  • Boone County Animal Control
  • Friends of Hardin County Animal Shelter
  • Heart Humane Society
  • Harrison County Animal Control

While dogs and cats are the most common participants, all animals are welcome. Please have your dogs on leashes and other pets in carriers. Horses can be photographed outside with Santa.

The event will take place Dec. 7-8 and Dec. 14-15 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Photos are offered in all different packages starting at $12. This is a volunteer-driven event. 100 percent of the proceeds go to the participating animal rescue organizations.
