BULLITT CO. Ky - A “Stuff the Bus” food drive on November 3 provided an estimated $7,000 worth of food that has been distributed across the entire Bullitt County school district. Youth resource coordinators say they hand out between 15-and-30 bags of food to students each week, who need a little help beyond school lunches.

“If you’re a little kid, who wants to worry about that?” said Traci Gould, Family Resource Coordinator for Shepherdsville Elementary School. “And not all the kids in our school have this issue, but if there’s even one that’s one too many.”

Bullitt County officials say if you are interested in donating food items for the schools, there is a donation bin at the Price Less grocery store in Shepherdsville, and multiple pantry boxes set up outside some Bullitt County schools.
