LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Louisville welcomes all sorts of conventions and expos to town, but one might make you squirm more than others.

Repticon is a reptile and exotic animal expo that happens in various cities around the country.  The expo made a stop in Louisville September 7 and 8 and we sent photojournalist Scott Neumann to check things out.

Repticon bills itself as a family-friendly, fun-filled event.  Visitors are given the chance to not only see unique creatures they may not have ever seen before, but they also get the chance to learn about the care and living habits of the animals.  Many exhibitors allow visitors to pet, hold, and gawk at the various animals.

But for those wanting to do more than just hold or touch an exotic animal, they are also allowed to buy a new family pet.  Hundreds of reptiles, amphibians, spiders, invertebrates and other small exotic animals were available for fans to buy.

If you missed the Louisville show, there are a lot of other dates and locations for Repticon.
