LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Kentucky highways have been rumbling the past few days, as the Chevrolet Corvette, made in Bowling Green, is at the center of a massive party. It's also a chance for serious local enthusiasts to show off their pride.

Several hundreds of Corvettes and their owners formed a caravan that made a stop in Louisville Wednesday. It's part of multiple caravans from around the country converging on the Corvette Museum in Bowling Green over the weekend. Butch Hume, president of the Falls City Corvette Club, explained his passion for the muscle car - or cars, in his case.

"My dad says, 'Why do you need six cars?' And I say, 'Well, all six cars have a purpose,'" Hume explained. "Do I need that car right there? No. Do I need to spend all the money to dress it up? No. But it’s just something I enjoy doing, and I’m very proud of it... If someone comes up to me and says, 'Hey, nice car. I like what you've done to it.' That means everything."

There are events running all day, every day, through Sunday morning, for the 20,000 visitors who made the trip to celebrate their favorite machine.
