La Grange, Ky.-- Sisters Raegan, 10, and Rylyn Richins, 8, are spreading kindness throughout Oldham County by selling their handmade signs at the La Grange Farmers' Market & Artisans. On Saturday, they sold out. Although the signs bear only two words,"Be Kind," the sisters say the words mean a lot to them.
"We drove through LaRue County, and saw some signs that said 'just be kind.' And we decided that we wanted to bring it here to Oldham County because we believe we can make Oldham County a better place. But our signs, we wanted them to say 'be kind' instead of 'just be kind' because you can be more than kind. You can be loving. You can be an example," said Raegan Richins.
"Like, when you're just really stressed and like are really mad you just think 'I saw those signs and should be kind,' so we can be kind," said Rylyn Richins.
The signs go for $10 a piece, with the buyer's choice of donating that money to the Humane Society, Blessings in a Backpack, Guns and Hoses, Hope Health Clinic, or Pillar.
