HORSE CAVE, Ky. --The Mad Dog PAC has purchased a second billboard targeting Senator Mitch McConnell.

The new billboard, which went up over the weekend, is on Interstate 65 north, in Hart County, near the Horse Cave rest stop.

It says "Putin's Mitch."

The Hart County billboard follows a similar one off Interstate 75 in Berea.

That one, which went up in May, also insuates that Kentucky's senior senator is in cahoots with a Russian oligarch.

These billboards were purchased following a report from the New York Times' Kenneth Vogel alleging McConnell was tipped off that sanctioned-Russian-oligarch Oleg Deripaska would be investing in Braidy Industries.

In April, Braidy Instrustries announced they had a new investor for their Ashland plant; a Russian company called Rusal pledged $200 million in funding.

Braidy has said the plant will bring hundreds of jobs to rural eastern Kentucky.

In exchange for its investment, a news release from Rusal said it would earn a 40 percent share.

Deripaska is a leader in Russia who was sanctioned by the federal government a year ago for attempting to meddle in the 2016 election.  He's also the partial owner of Rusal, the company that invested in Braidy.

Rusal and its parent company EN+, were also sanctioned by the federal government.

Late last year, the Trump administration announced it planned to end the sanctions on Rusal and EN+. All but two of Kentucky's Washington delegation voted against that move. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell spoke in favor of lifting the sanctions.

The sanctions were lifted in January.

McConnell has said there is absolutely no connection between lifting sanctions and the new investment.

However, a group of Congressional Democrats want an investigation into the Rusal investment. Mad Dog PAC is also questioning the link.

Earlier in June, Braidy pushed back its $500 million stock sale deadline, saying they are working on finalizing financing.

The State of Kentucky has directly invested $15 million into Braidy's plant.
