LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Four schools, two rivalries, and one cause - the purpose behind the annual Pink and White game.  On April 26, the girls of Assumption High School and Sacred Heart Academy squared off on the football field, while the young men of St. X and Trinity showed off their dance moves in a halftime show for the ages.

$45,000 was raised from this year's event and was presented to Norton Cancer Institute.  Today's donation puts the total collected from these games at more than $300,000.  The money raised will help provide free mammograms for underserved women in the community.

Assumption senior Maggie Metzger says as much fun as the game is, seeing the results are what mean the most to her and her fellow Rockets.  Sacred Heart senior Gabby Montano was a wide receiver in this year's game, and her play on the field was extremely personal.  Her mom is battling breast cancer.

The Pink and White game began in 2008 after than Assumption senior Stephanie Coy "dreamed" of playing flag football against school rival, Sacred Heart. Students and faculty came together to make her dream come true and it has become an annual tradition raising money for a great cause.
