LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Three years ago UPS broke ground on a facility that was set to help them do more business. Today, UPS unveiled the new and improved Centennial ground sorting hub.
The 838,000 square-foot expansion of the Outer Loop facility doubles the facilities sorting capabilities to 85,000 packages per hour and it has added 300 jobs in Louisville. Centennial hub is part of a multi-year project meant to automate and modernize UPS ground facilities across the country.
In 2019, 18 new or renovated properties will open, increasing the packing giants capacity by 350,000 packages per hour.
