LEXINGTON, Ky --- Thousands of visitors packed downtown Lexington this weekend to take part in the city's annual toy and comic convention.

From cosplayers, to superheroes and super-villians...thousands of con fans waited in lines, some for several hours, for the chance to meet and grab autographs and even selfies with celebrities from various entertainment genres.

Lexington's comic con event is in it's 8th year, and wrapped up it's four-day extravaganza Sunday.

Event organizers tell Spectrum News 1 that in 2018, Lexington's Toy and Comic Convention attendance numbers were well over 30,000 people. They expect to break that attendance record this year.
