FRANKFORT- There's now two names in the race against Gov. Matt Bevin.

William Woods officially filed to run in the GOP gubernatorial primary.

Woods is from Grant County and will be running with Justin Miller of Florence.

In a release, Woods said Kentucky deserves to have a leader that is open and transparent and attacks Gov. Bevin for delaying his filing.

"Currently we have a governor who hasn't been clear with Kentucky on whether he's running or not? Why is he stalling?" he says in a release. " Why hasn't he embraced his current Lt. governor? It is the job of our governor to lead, not create confusion."

Woods campaign message is "Kentucky First" and has a Kentucky First agenda listed on his website.

He joins State Rep. Robert Goforth, R-East Bernstadt, in the GOP primary. Gov. Matt Bevin has yet to officially file for re-election despite assuring the public he will  be running for a second term.

The deadline to file for statewide office is January 29.
