LEXINGTON, Ky --- Although #GivingTuesday has passed, the charitable spirit continues thanks to two organizations based in Lexington hosting a good-giving challenge week...to raise money for 117 Kentucky charities.
- The challenge has traditionally lasted a month, this year's challenge will only run for one week (Nov. 27-Dec. 3)
- Each day of the challenge is packed with prizes and match challenges that are designed to make donors dollars stretch further

Blue Grass Community Foundation and Smiley Pete publishing kicked off their 8th annual good-giving challenge, where non-profit organizations across the bluegrass spend one week seeking donations from Kentuckians who want to give back, just before the winter holiday season.
The challenge has raised more than $8.5 million dollars for Kentucky charities since 2011. and it runs through monday, december 3rd.
