Hailing from Kentucky's 22nd District, State Senator Donald Douglas's favorite part of his job is listening to his constituents. By understanding where they're coming from, Douglas helps them find solutions to their problems.
The biggest thing Douglas has learned during his time in office is that the legislature is very diverse, comprised of people from a wide range of backgrounds who contribute many different ideas but all share a passion for serving their communities. Currently, his top priority is championing education in his district, especially supporting teachers.
His first job was working at an apple orchard. If he could have lunch with any public official, he would choose Ronald Reagan.
