Hailing from Kentucky's 55th District, State Representative Kim King was inspired to run for office by her grandchildren - she wants to help make the state and nation a better place for them to live. Her favorite part of her job is serving her constituents, connecting them with resources to help solve their problems.

The biggest thing King has learned during her time in office is how to carefully consider every bill to make the best decisions for her constituents. One thing she wishes people knew about her job is that legislators collaborate extensively across parties, as well as between the House and Senate, to serve their communities. 

King's first job was waiting tables at her family's restaurants. Her favorite movie is The Bodyguard.
