Hailing from Kentucky's 20th District, State Representative Kevin Jackson was inspired to run for office after spending 32 years working in public education and coaching, as well as serving on a school board. When the opportunity arose to run for office, he decided to continue pursuing his passion for public service in a new role.

One thing Jackson's district does better than anywhere else is work together across different levels of government to help the community thrive. The biggest thing he's learned during his time in office is that the legislative process is deliberately slow and sometimes difficult, but it's designed to ensure that laws are enacted thoughtfully.

If he weren't in office, Jackson would probably still be serving on the Warren County Board of Education. He would spend an extra hour of free time with is wife and four grandkids.
