A background in non-profit work first inspired Kentucky Representative Chris Freeland to pursue public office. After working in city government for eight years, he proudly represents Kentucky's 6th State House District.

In his Know Your Electeds interview, Freeland shared that he wished more people knew about the beautiful tourism opportunities in his district. If he were to take an out-of-town visitor anywhere, it would be on a tour of his district's lakes.

In three words, Freeland describes his district as a "warm, welcoming community." His first job was at a grocery store when he was 15 years old.
