Kentucky State Representative Al Gentry (D-46) says his true purpose in life is helping other people. 

In his Know Your Electeds interview, Gentry explains how his diverse background as a scientist, an individual with a disability, and an advocate inspired him to run for office. In his work and life, Gentry tries to focus on the impacts he can make, instead of the things he cannot change.

Gentry has represented Kentucky's 46th district since 2017.
