KENTUCKY — The 2024 elections have come and gone here in the Commonwealth. President-elect Donald Trump won all eight of Kentucky’s electoral votes for the 3rd straight presidential cycle, and 7th overall win for a Republican nominee, dating back to the 1990s. While many had not questioned if Kentucky was going to Trump, many wondered just how big his margins would be and how it would affect other races on ballots across the state.

During this week’s “In Focus Kentucky.” program State Sen. David Givens, R-Greensburg joins the program to discuss his pride of being an American and optimism about the next four years, emphasizing the importance of democracy and its fragility.

Givens also comments that while he was not surprised not by fellow Republican Donald Trump winning another four-year term to the White House, he was surprised by the election results, noting that the margin and outcome differed from the polling data, showing a closer race than expected.
