KENTUCKY — On this week’s program, we are helping you get prepared for Kentucky’s General Election that falls on Tuesday, Nov. 5.

This will include two Constitutional Amendments on registered ballots—Amendment 1 is a citizenship requirement measure. Amendment 2 would allow lawmakers to consider and debate more educational options for families of school-age kids in kindergarten through 12th grade in Kentucky.

Multiple advocacy groups across the Commonwealth continue to rally, hoping to drum up support for their positions on Constitutional Amendment two.

During this “In Focus Kentucky” segment, the National American Federation of Teachers group is discussing their concerns about the amendment’s possible impact. American Federation of Teachers is encouraging Kentuckys to vote “no.” Americans for Prosperity Kentucky are following their mission to remove what they consider lifestyle barriers for families and emphasis on education, economics and other values. Their group is encouraging Kentuckians to vote “yes.”
