KENTUCKY — On this week’s In Focus Kentucky program, we’re sitting down with Secretary of State Michael Adams, R-Ky.
The Republican was reelected by the voters of Kentucky in Nov. 2023 to serve another four-year term as the chief elections official for the Commonwealth.
Adams was the top vote getter on the 2023 general election ballot, receiving over 785,000 voters.
During this segment, Adams shares his takeaways about why voters reelected him to serve another four years in office and explains the legislative priorities he is advocating for from the Kentucky General Assembly.
“Well, I think they like our balance of access and security. On the election front they want us to make it easy to vote and hard to cheat. There’s something there for everybody. It’s the way that we’ve governed from day one. Taking everybody at the table listening, hearing, everyone out and trying to make it fair, but also make it accessible when people vote and guess what voters love that whatever their persuasion, they want to make it easy to vote and hard to cheat. And so that’s why we were reelected by historic margins in November,” explained Adams.
