KENTUCKY — We are just weeks away from election day here in Kentucky. And all eyes and attention remain on the top of the ballot, for the race for Governor between incumbent Democrat Andy Beshear and his Republican challenger Attorney General Daniel Cameron.

On this week’s special one-hour edition of In Focus Kentucky, we introduce you to the candidates running in what’s called the “down ticket” races.

Registered voters will vote for candidates running for State Auditor of Public Accounts, Attorney General, Commissioner of Agriculture, Secretary of State and Treasurer. These constitutional offices pay $139,724 a year.

Here are the candidates listed on Kentucky’s General ballot.

  • Attorney General: Russell Coleman (R) and Pamela Stevenson (D)

  • Auditor of Public Accounts: Allison Ball (R) and Kim Reeder (D)

  • Commissioner of Agriculture: Jonathan Shell (R) and Sierra Enlow (D)

  • Secretary of State: Michael Adams (R) and Charles “Buddy” Wheately (D)

  • Treasurer: Mark Metcalf (R) and Michael Bowman (D)

In-person excused absentee voting begins: Oct. 25, 26, 27, 30 and 31; and Nov. 1. Find your excused in-person absentee voting locations by going to our Spectrum News 1 Voter Guide.

In-person, no excuse absentee/early voting begins Nov. 2, 3 and 4. Anyone may vote early for any reason. No excuse required.

Election day is set for Tuesday, Nov. 7, 6 a.m.-6 p.m., local time.
