FANCY FARM, Ky. — This week’s ‘In Focus Kentucky’ program is on location from Fancy Farm, Kentucky in Graves County, which is in far west Kentucky. Every year for the last 143 years, this small community has hosted the St. Jerome Catholic Church Fancy Farm political picnic and fundraiser, where thousands descend on the city to talk politics over dozens of picnic tables for this time-honored tradition.

During this segment, this year’s Fancy Farm emcee David Beck delivers opening remarks to the crowd of over 15,000 attendees. Beck is the President and CEO of Kentucky Venues, which manages the Kentucky Exposition Center, Kentucky International Convention Center and Freedom Hall.

Also during this segment, we share highlights from the political speeches delivered by the two nominees for governor of Kentucky Andy Beshear (D) and Daniel Cameron (R).
