KENTUCKY — We’re at the half-way point of 2023 and it's certainly been a busy year for Kentucky’s Attorney General Office.

The person who leads the office of 200 employees in seven offices across the state, is Daniel Cameron.

He was elected in 2019 as the first Republican in Kentucky, elected to the Attorney General's office since 1948.

During this In Focus Kentucky segment, Cameron discusses his positions on several topics and issues impacting the Commonwealth, including his Office of Attorney General's official opinion, expressing its opposition of the Kentucky Department of Education’s interpretation of Senate Bill 150. The broad-reaching bill passed through the state legislature this year and, among other things, changes what topics can be taught in schools concerning gender and sexual identity.

The Republican Attorney General also shares comments on his opposition to environmental, social, and corporate governance (E.S.G.) investment practices and explains his fight to keep AM radio in Kentucky cars.

Within this segment, Daniel Cameron also discusses his challenge to Democrat Andy Beshear, as the Republican nominee in this year’s race for Governor of the Commonwealth. Cameron also shares details on his campaign endorsement from former President of the United States Donald Trump, what qualities he's looking for in a Lieutenant Governor candidate and his excitement to return to Fancy Farm in West Kentucky
