KENTUCKY — Advocates for the LGBTQ+ community were invited to the White House Pride celebration in June.

This was the first year that the Kentucky’s Fairness Campaign was invited to the celebration in our nation’s capital.

Fairness campaign executive director Chris Hartman attended the festivities in Washington, D.C. and joins this In Focus Kentucky segment to share details about the visit and explains how the organization is advocating for comprehensive civil rights legislation prohibiting discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity and to dismantle systemic racism.
