KENTUCKY — The Kentucky Association of Sexual Assault Programs (KASAP) local programs are not limited to survivors of rape but also serve survivors of sexual harassment, sexual assault or sexual violence.
To accomplish the mission at KASAP, improving public policy, promoting prevention and increasing public awareness are at the forefront of their initiatives.
During this In Focus Kentucky segment, representatives with KASAP discuss a new statewide "Believe Me,” documentary that highlights the healing journey survivors have gone through and offering help and hope to those who need it. The documentary features interviews with 12 sexual assault survivors and licensed professionals across the state.
The documentary airs on Kentucky Educational Television on April 25, 26 and 30.
