In early February 2023, Republican and Democratic lawmakers in the state Senate are expected to begin discussions on approving changes to Kentucky's income tax.
The Kentucky House of Representatives passed House Bill 1 on Jan. 5. The bill codifies a reduction in the personal income tax to 4%, effective in 2024.
