KENTUCKY — The Kentucky Chamber of Commerce represents 3,800+ member businesses — from family-owned shops to Fortune 500 companies — that employ over half of the Commonwealth’s workforce.
Ashli Watts is the President and CEO of the organization and rejoins In Focus Kentucky to preview the Ky Chamber's Inaugural Women’s Summit, taking place July 19 in Lexington at the Central Bank Center.
The summit will feature women in politics and women in business panel discussions, plus keynote addresses from top business and political leaders from across the state.
"So coming out of the pandemic, now that we're able to have in person events, again, we just thought it was the perfect time to really highlight a lot of the female leaders across Kentucky and really celebrate them and, you know, listen to their lessons. Learn and listen to their advice, and you know make sure that their voices are being heard, especially after this very difficult year," explains Watts.
During this daylong event, the Chamber will also present the Inaugural Woman of the Year Award.
