In 2016, Kentucky State Representative Joni Jenkins received the “Champions for Justice” Award at the 18th annual Ending Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Conference for her work on behalf of victims of domestic violence and sexual assault in Kentucky. Jenkins who represents House District 44, which covers part of Jefferson County, joins In Focus Kentucky to share how she has helped secure a variety of domestic violence and sexual assault legal reforms since being elected in 1995.
