LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Louisville Wedding Network is giving away a dream wedding to a deserving couple. The network plans to honor first responders and teachers by donating a wedding worth more than $40,000.

The network, made of up various wedding vendors, will donate their services, meaning whoever wins won’t have to pay for a thing. 

“We’ve been very fortunate since COVID in that we’ve been able to resurrect all our businesses and we’re all doing very well,” Jamie Lott, president of the Louisville Wedding Network said. “We just wanted to give back to the community and we started thinking about who we could help that helps others in the community.”

One of the many people donating their time and resources to this is Michael Gaddie, owner of Lloyd’s Florist. 

“Over the last few years, our first responders and teachers and, you know, they’ve been through a lot. We all been through a lot,” Gaddie said. “But we wanted to pick out a few people in the community that we can give back to.”

To enter, couples must submit a video to the wedding network by Dec. 29. Families of those who enter will ultimately pick the winner. The lucky couple will be announced at the Kentucky Wedding Show at the Henry Clay Event Center Jan. 6, 2024. 

The wedding will be at the Mellwood Art Center in June 2024. 

“It’s always great to be able to help deserving families, teachers, first responders. My mother was a teacher, so I completely understand what it’s like to put on big events to the scale and the price point that comes with it. So our ability to help goes a long way to helping those that have helped us get through the last few years,” John Davies, event sales manager for the Mellwood Art Center said.
