Clear skies and calm weather stay with us through Saturday. Expect warmer afternoons with highs soaring to the mid-70s to mid-80s across the state both Saturday and Sunday. Sunday clouds gradually increase throughout the day.
The spring-like temperatures continue into early next week, but clouds thicken and moisture builds ahead of our next frontal system.
A strong storm complex will bring thunderstorms to North and Central Texas by Tuesday. The greatest severe weather threat will develop by midday Tuesday into the afternoon and evening along and east of the I-35.
Our main concerns are large hail and damaging winds at this time. Behind this system, very windy conditions will lead to an elevated fire weather threat into Wednesday.
Thursday and Friday temperatures will gradually warm back into the 70s and 80s for everyone.
