LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Derby Day is officially here, and celebrations are abundant in the Commonwealth.
Bets are flying and mint juleps are flowing at Churchill Downs as a limited number of fans are allowed at the track this year. Last year's Derby, postponed for months due to COVID-19, didn't allow any fans on site.
The 147th running of the Kentucky Derby kicked off around 6:57 p.m. ET Saturday. Here are some views from beneath the Twin Spires.
