  • Planning to protest in front of mayor's home

“We’re going to spread more love and less hate,” Rosie Henderson said Tuesday afternoon.

For nearly two weeks protests and demonstrations have been centered around Jefferson Square in downtown Louisville. Tuesday was another peaceful gathering and one organizer said they will not rest until the officers involved in the shooting death of EMT Breonna Taylor are prosecuted.

“People will not feel like they are being heard until they know those officers are fired, arrested and prosecuted and I don’t think there is a way around that,” Shameka Parris-Wright of The Bail Project, told Spectrum News.

Just after 8 pm Tuesday more than fifty people took to the street marching from Jefferson Square toward the riverfront. Throughout the afternoon several people were handing out invitations to an “All-Night BBQ,” at Mayor Greg Fischer’s home. It’s unclear if Louisville’s mayor is aware of such an event.
