COVINGTON, Ky. — High school seniors are starting to apply for scholarships to pay for college. Covington's Police Union wants to help those students by giving a $500 scholarship.

It's called the Covington Fallen Officer scholarship. 

Seniors, who are residents of Covington or a current member of the Fraternal Order of Police, may apply for this scholarship opportunity.

Applicants must write a 400 to 700 word essay on "what does living in Covington mean to me?" 

Applications are due on June 1, 2020. They should be emailed to CovingtonFOPScholarship@gmail.com or mailed to FOP Scholarship 516 E. 18th Street, Covington, KY 41014.
