Brennon Gurley joined the Spectrum News 1 Kentucky team as an anchor/reporter in September 2020 from KLTV, the ABC affiliate in Tyler, Texas.

Prior to that, he launched his career in Springfield, Mo., first at KOLR, the CBS affiliate, followed by KRBK, the Fox affiliate.

He has held multiple roles, from reporter to weekend morning anchor, and covered a wide range of stories, including difficult topics such as homelessness, mental health, poverty, drug addiction, and hunger. He also brings experience from an internship with the National Football League’s Dallas Cowboys.

Brennon takes great pride in his community involvement. He is thrilled to be a part of the Louisville and broader Kentucky communities and eager to make a difference in people’s lives.

A native of East Texas, Brennon graduated from Arkansas State University in 2015 with a degree in Multimedia Journalism and a minor in English. In his spare time, you can find him listening to live music and trying out new restaurants. He enjoys meeting new people and building relationships, which is a gift he shares everywhere he goes.
